How it helps

Living with a long-term illness, recovering from an injury, or navigating constant stress is exhausting. Finding the right support shouldn’t be.

Because I am both a Yoga Therapist and a neurological Occupational Therapist, I specialise in adapting yoga safely for complex health needs. I bridge the gap between the time-tested wisdom of yoga and the practical, evidence-based tools of modern neuro-rehabilitation.

A quick note: The list below is just an example of what I see most often—it is not exhaustive. We can adapt a practice to support almost any physical or emotional health challenge. If you don’t see your specific diagnosis here, it doesn’t mean I can’t help you.

Here are some examples of what we can work on together:

Neurological & Complex Health

  • Neurological Conditions & Brain Injuries: Rebuilding functional movement, spatial awareness, and balance following an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), stroke, or while managing conditions like MS, Parkinson’s, and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
  • Neurodivergence & Sensory Needs: Adapting practices for ADHD, Autism, and sensory processing needs. We focus on sensory regulation—using movement, breath, and environment to soothe an overstimulated nervous system or support executive dysfunction.
  • Fatigue & Energy Management: Applying clinical energy-conservation strategies to help you pace your activities and manage severe fatigue from Long COVID, ME/CFS, or Fibromyalgia.
  • Persistent Pain & Injury Recovery: Safely managing long-term discomfort (like arthritis or back pain) and rebuilding mobility at your own pace after surgery.

Mental & Emotional Well-being

  • Stress & Burnout: Calming an overworked nervous system and finding a physical sense of safety.
  • Anxiety & Depression: Using simple breathwork and gentle movement to quiet a busy mind and shift your body out of survival mode.
  • Sleep Issues: Addressing difficulties with falling or staying asleep, and learning how to access deep, restorative rest.

Life Changes

  • Navigating a New Diagnosis: Processing the physical and emotional impact of a medical changes or chronic ongoing health challenges.
  • Life Transitions: Supporting your body and mind through menopause, aging, or times of high stress.
  • Building a Routine: Creating a simple, realistic self-care routine when you just don’t know where to start.

A Collaborative Approach

Because of my background as an Occupational Therapist, I am used to working alongside other healthcare professionals. If you already have a medical team or care package in place, I can collaborate with them to ensure your yoga therapy fits safely alongside your existing treatments. If you are navigating things on your own, you can feel reassured that your practice is grounded in genuine clinical experience.

Not sure if your specific challenge fits?

I look at the person, not just the diagnosis. Let’s have a chat.
